I am 59 – male. Of late I realised that I have problem of hearing loss. ENT specialist cleared my both ears in excellent condition. They opined that it is nerval and is directly related to brain nerves. The audiogram reading was 35db(R) , 39db(L). Scaning of brain could not detect any problen in brain. After Ayurvedic treatment, again the audiogram test was made. It was 45db (R) and 48db(L). It is now about one year. Now I am not able to listen any sound clearly unless I concentrate much hard by pressing both side bones of cortex. Last month I was prescribed BIG PLUS and GGG capsules by an ENT specialist. Used for fifteen days. No positive result obtained. I have no idea as to what this medicine was given. Can my hearing improve and back to normal or will this be diminished day by day to zero?

Im from philippines . i have a 4 month old son . in the hospital where i gave birth .. hearing and balnace is a SOP . he failed in the three hearing test . but it didn’t bother me bec. the doctor said he has colds at that time . and our pedia tel us to have another different test , which is the BAER . (Brainstem Auditory Evoked Response . Yesterday we have it done in the same hospital where he had done the first test . But the result is Abnormal ABR study suggestive of severe hearing loss on both ear . 75 Desibels in both ear .
I dont know where to start ? where to have my child implant a cochlear implant ? is my child will have a normal life like the other kids ? can he go to a normal school ? i need a oppinion or suggestion … pls help me im so depressed and stress out .

around 3 years ago around 20054, i accidentally shot an airsoft gun, the guns that shoot yellow plastic bbs, very close to my right ear. it rang and was uncomfortable for a few hours, but my hearing returned and was normal for the next two years, until 2006, it was fine, then one day, i popped my ear, like fake yawning, then *click* i hear funny in my right ear, i can hear clear and everything, i don’t think there’s hearing loss, but my right ear constantly feels stuffed, and when i talk, it feels unbalanced, like my left hears more than my right. what can it be?

I recently found out my 5 year old daughter has moderate hearing loss and will require hearing aids in both ears. She has fairly good speech and is doing well at school. Her teacher was surprised she had hearing loss. I keep worrying about her hearing loss possibly getting wose. How likely would it be for it to get worse to the point where she could become fully deaf? Is this a possibility?

Woke up today with hearing loss in left ear . Went to the doctor . He said I had an ear infection in the left ear with white powdery material on the eardrum . He put me on the antibiotic zithromax oral. Will the hearing get better and how long does it take . I am 47 and this is my first ear infection . It hummms and thumps at times

is it permanent hearing loss?

Anyone have knowledge, links, or personal info about permanent hearing loss due to airbag in accidents? My dad was in an accident about a month ago (front passenger) in a Toyota Tundra hitting a deer. We were initally told it would probably be temporary, not diagnosed as permanent. Can anyone explain why? Anyone have this problem, or have articels I can print for my father?

I am unable to hear low and high freuqency and as per ENT took audiometic test and diagnoised as Bilateral moderate conductive hearing loss . What is permanent remedy for this. Can drugs help cure this?
Local ENT suggest to under go Surgery. If I under go surgery will I get back the hearing power surely?? can anyone suggest whether this can be corrected by in take of medicines?? OR can by corrected by SURGERY?
