Can I be a police officer with hearing loss?
I have serve to profound hearing loss. However, it hasn’t been much of a bother. I’m really good at communication, hearing others in loud background, and I read lips very well. Is there a chance I can become a police officer? Please tell me honestly, I’ll accept the truth no matter how difficult it is.

My 84-year old grandmother is deaf in one ear and has near-total hearing loss in the other. She wears hearing-aids but relies on lip-reading to assist w/ comprehension.
Phone calls can no longer be accepted because of her condition.
What appliances can you suggest (bonus: where can I purchase them online) that can assist in this particular situation?

40 yr old healthy male, no history of hearing loss himself or in his family, suddenly began to lose hearing in one ear. Hearing in that ear sounds like everything is under water. Doctor is testing to see if it’s a tumor. What type of tumor would he be looking for – in the brain, in the ear? Is this common?
